FarmHub Pricing & Discount Policy

 

FarmHub is committed to providing customers with transparent pricing while ensuring fair opportunities for farmers and sellers. This policy outlines the rules and practices regarding product pricing, discounts, and promotional offers on the FarmHub platform.

 

1. Scope of the Policy

This policy applies to all sellers, vendors, and partners listing their products on FarmHub, as well as to promotional campaigns run directly by FarmHub.

 

2. Pricing Guidelines for Sellers

​

  • Fair Pricing: Sellers must list genuine and competitive prices without artificial inflation.

  • Price Transparency: Every product listing must clearly show:

    • Maximum Retail Price (MRP)

    • Selling Price

    • Discount (if any)

  • No Hidden Costs: Prices must include all applicable charges except delivery fees (clearly mentioned at checkout).

  • Seasonal & Market Fairness: Sellers cannot unreasonably increase prices during festive seasons, high demand, or shortages.

  • Compliance: Sellers must follow the Legal Metrology Act for displaying MRP and other statutory details.

 

3. Discount Policy

​

  • Seller Discounts: Sellers may offer discounts on their products, provided the discount is genuine and not misleading.

  • FarmHub Promotions: FarmHub may run platform-wide promotions, flash sales, or seasonal offers, in which sellers may be required to participate.

  • Strike-through Pricing: If a product shows a strike-through MRP, the discount percentage and final selling price must be accurately calculated.

  • Fake Discounts: Artificially inflating MRP to show higher discounts is strictly prohibited. Violations may lead to penalties or delisting.

 

4. Promotional Campaigns

  • FarmHub may run festive offers, combo packs, and bulk discounts for customer benefit.

  • Participation by sellers in such campaigns will be communicated in advance.

  • Products included in promotions must meet quality and stock requirements.

 

5. Price Control & Monitoring

​

  • FarmHub regularly monitors product prices to ensure fairness and consistency.

  • Sellers found engaging in:

    • Price manipulation

    • Excessive overcharging

    • Misleading discount practices may face suspension or permanent account termination.

 

6. Refunds & Price Adjustments

​

  • If a product is listed at an incorrect price due to technical or seller error, FarmHub reserves the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund.

  • In the event of a promotional price drop immediately after purchase, FarmHub may, at its discretion, provide store credits or coupons.

 

7. Compliance & Responsibility

​

  • Sellers must comply with all applicable laws including:

    • Consumer Protection Act, 2019

    • Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules

    • GST Regulations (where applicable)

  • Sellers are responsible for ensuring all price-related details are correct and lawful.
